JASON MABANA
GUEST CHOREOGRAPHER 2025/26
Jason Mabana is a choreographer and contemporary lecturer based in London. He holds a BA (Hons) degree from the Rambert School and a postgraduate Diploma from The Place. He teaches at Rambert School and lectures in some of the biggest dance conservatoires in the world: Taipei National University Of The Arts, Alvin Ailey School, Juilliard, University of The Arts Amsterdam, Royal Ballet School and many others.
Jason has created works for numerous renowned dance companies, schools and events, including Black Box Dance Company, Conny Janssen Danst, FDR Mexico, Hamburg Contemporary Company, BalletBoyz, SpringBoard, Royal Ballet School, Stella McCartney, De Beers and more. He also makes his own work with his company: Jason Mabana Dance. His works have been nominated for Best Choreography in Denmark, the Asian Arts Awards, and the Amnesty International Freedom of Speech Awards, which is a testament to his creativity and talent. Jason is now working on a trio Be No End To which will be performed at Lila Lopez Festival in Mexico and at the Miami International Ballet Festival.
Throughout his career, Jason has also been a highly skilled dancer, performing with world-renowned dance companies such as Akram Khan Company, Wayne McGregor, Shobana Jeyasingh, and Candoco Dance Company. His experience as a performer has given him a deep understanding of the art of dance and has allowed him to bring that knowledge to his teaching and choreography.

FAYE STOESER
GUEST CHOREOGRAPHER 2025/26
Faye Stoeser is a UK based dance artist whose career spans from the contemporary dance sector, to the commercial industry, to underground battle scenes. Her artistic style both as a choreographer and performer has a base in contemporary dance and is influenced by the many dance styles she has come into contact with over the years including underground battle and club dance styles.
Faye studied at London Studio Centre and went on to join Rambert 2 to complete her MA. As a performer, Faye worked with companies and choreographers including Clod Ensemble, Rambert 2, Benoit Swan Pouffer, Ohad Naharin, Richard Chappell Dance, Jose Agudo, Julia Cheung, Dickson Mbi with commercial credits including BBC, Universal Pictures, Years & Years, Kylie Minogue, Jax Jones and Sam Smith.
Alongside Faye’s career, she became part of the Ballroom Scene in 2016, where she is recognised internationally in her category New Way Voguing and is part of the House of Revlon.
Faye Stoeser is the Co-Artistic Director alongside Hannah Ekholm of ‘Ekleido’ who have been touring their work ‘Splice’ to venues and festivals including Glastonbury Festival, Breakin’ Convention Sadler’s Wells, The Place, Lilian Baylis Theatre and Latitude Festival, as well as premiering their new show ‘Rorschach’ at The Place in Autumn 2024 of which they received commissioning from The Place (Choreodrome), DanceEast and funding from Arts Council England.
Faye has been commissioned to make work on INTOTO Dance Company, Rambert School, London Studio Centre, Bath Spa University, Monmouthshire Youth Dance Company and Italia Conti as well as commercial choreographer & movement director credits including Saul Nash, Marc Jacobs, British Vogue, Woolmark and Zara Larsson.

LISA MARIE ROBINSON
Assistant Choreographer to Joss Arnott 2024-26
Lisa Marie Robinson, grew up in the North East of England and is a passionate contemporary dance artist.
Lisa began her training at Dance City CAT in Newcastle where her adoration for contemporary dance was sparked. She then continued her training and went on to gain her BA Degree at Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance in London.
Driven to explore more of the world of performance and contemporary, Lisa embarked upon her MA with Emergence 2022/3; Joss Arnott’s postgraduate company, where she worked with Flockworks, Anthony Missen and Joss Arnott, touring a triple bill programme nationally.
Throughout her training and career to date, she has worked alongside companies and choreographers such as Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures (Youth Cast), Shobana Jeyasingh, Alleyne Dance and Southpaw Dance Company whilst becoming a Dance Artist for Joss Arnott Dance. Lisa is now a freelance artist based in London. She is currently choreographing and working within the commercial and fitness industries whilst being represented by multiple talent agencies.

JOSS ARNOTT
Joss is the Artistic Director of Emergence and professional dance company Joss Arnott Dance.
Founding Joss Arnott Dance in 2010, Joss is an internationally award-winning choreographer who has been continuously supported and commissioned by leading UK dance agencies, venues and funding organisations. Joss is in demand as a choreographer and has been commissioned to create work for professional dance companies including Rambert and leading dance conservatoires.
His artistic vision is fuelled by creating a portfolio of work for a diverse range of audiences which are at the heart of everything he produces, including indoor, outdoor and family-orientated productions. He has a trademark, athletic choreographic language that is grown from classical and commercial techniques, shaped by contemporary aesthetic and inspired by music.
Joss strives for innovation of the highest quality and curates world-class collaborations for Joss Arnott Dance which became evident in 2015 with the company’s 5th-anniversary tour that featured live music from the world’s premier solo percussionist, Dame Evelyn Glennie
With a commitment and passion for talent development, Joss has been a Focus Group Artist for Sadler’s Well’s National Youth Dance Company, BBC Young Dancer consultant and has worked with and produced multiple works for the National Centre for Advance training Schemes.
2018 marked the year of the newly formed partnership between Joss Arnott Dance and the University of Salford with the launch of Emergence and the MA Dance: Performance and Professional Practices programme, the only industry-led postgraduate dance company in the UK.
Over the past 6 years, Emergence has established itself as a leading postgraduate performance company and tours newly commissioned performance work by internationally acclaimed choreographers annually. The programme’s employability success is evident with dancers having thriving careers in the arts, with graduates joining leading dance companies and sustaining portfolio careers in the sector.
