Workshops give participants the opportunity to engage with members of Joss Arnott Dance directly and include a contemporary dance technique class, the learning of repertoire and participating in creative processes used in the company’s productions, which are available in two or four hour options.

The company produce curtain raiser works that give participants the opportunity to
work with Joss Arnott and/or a company dancer for a longer session, participate
in company class and engage with the company on a more choreographic basis, allowing them to develop their own creative skills on a deeper level.

This also gives participants the opportunity to be part of the company’s touring programme at their local venue, meet the dancers and Joss Arnott plus perform alongside a professional dance company.

Joss Arnott Dance also facilitate residencies including activity stated previously, which is spread out over a longer period of time. Prior to these residencies, we liaise with the programme leaders to develop bespoke packages to meet individual needs and requirements. These options give participants first hand experience of learning what it is like to be part of the company on a day-to-day basis and the physical demand and discipline it requires through a longer residential period.

“Joss Arnott dancers and teachers are true inspirations. Having such talent in the studio pushes students to their limits physically, mentally and emotionally in a safe and nurturing environment.” Kiran Chudasama, Head of Dance - Mascalls School
