Higher Education

Lead by Joss Arnott Dance, we will deliver a company class training session and teach the choreographic response for up to 20 students per session. We have created an Advanced and Intermediate level response to be able to tailor the programme to cater for a variety of experiences.

The online zoom session will last for a maximum of x3 hours (including breaks). The cost of the activity helps support a local dance artist (if possible and we have one trained in the area) with paid working opportunities.

Once learnt the students are then invited to join the mass isolation flash mob performance, document their performances and will feature in the DANCE:CONNECTS – PULSE! 2.0 video documentary.

The process can form part of any outstanding assessments or requirements and provide a performance platform for those who may have missed this opportunity due to the Covid-19 crisis.

Education & Outreach

A large proportion of the work we do is connecting with schools, Centre for Advanced Training schemes and local community groups. We have developed a package that can train those new to dance and those who study dance, so they are able to take part in the DANCE:CONNECTS – PULSE! 2.0 performance.

Delivered on zoom, a member of the core leaders’ team (a local dance artist if we have one available), will take participants through a warmup session and teach up to 20 students the choreographic response. We have created Intermediate and New Dancers’ adaptations of the choreography to be able to tailor the programme to cater for a variety of experiences.
