Becky Linton
DANCER
Born and raised in Manchester, Becky’s dance journey began at the young age of four, training in ballet, tap, and jazz before shifting into the world of commercial dance at the age of ten.
As a teen, Becky discovered contemporary dance and chose to study it at A Level. Whilst studying dance at college, she became deeply inspired by the creative and expressive potential of contemporary performance and dance as a professional career. Encouraged and motivated by a passionately dedicated dance teacher, Becky decided to enrol on the BA Dance programme at the University of Salford, from which she graduated with a First Class Honours in July 2025.
Throughout the duration of her undergraduate studies, Becky had the opportunity to work with a wide range of artists and companies, including Hawk Dance Theatre, Ayesha Fazal, Move Manchester, Yue Ying Ho, Coalesce Dance Theatre and Company Chameleon.
Beyond performance, Becky actively seeks out creative and collaborative opportunities. She contributes to university open days and experience events, supports auditions, and consistently participates in Manchester’s dance scene. Most recently, she represented her BA Dance course at a conference.
Becky has also developed a strong passion for the film industry and interdisciplinary work. She has been involved in and directed various movement-based projects across the North West. Becky also became an ambassador for Dance At Salford, where she played a key role in promoting the course through managing the social media and creating digital content.
When she’s not in the studio, you’ll likely find Becky geeking out on her favourite films, paddle boarding on any lake she can find or in nature (preferably where there are animals to pet).
