Phoebe Leighton

DANCER

Phoebe’s dance journey began when she was 3 years old. Whilst growing up Phoebe participated in a range of dance styles at her local dance school, Dexterity – Estha Jones School of Dance. These styles included ballet, modern, tap, contemporary, jazz, commercial, and hip-hop as well as training as a rhythmic gymnast. During her time here, Phoebe was lucky enough to have numerous performance opportunities and exposure to competitive dance.

At 16, Phoebe was chosen to work on an ‘Alston Inspired’ project. This involved creating a curtain-raiser for Richard Alston Dance Company with choreographers Richard Alston, Ihsaan de Banya, Laura Gibson and Two Thirds Sky. Following this amazing experience, Phoebe knew she wanted to pursue a career in contemporary dance.

Phoebe trained at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance on the BA Contemporary Dance course and graduated with a First-Class Honors degree in 2022.

Since graduating, Phoebe has worked as a freelance dancer with companies including Urban Interface Dance UK and Riverside Dance. She has also set up her own business as a Personal Trainer and Online Coach, specialising in women’s health within fitness and dance. Phoebe has also taught contemporary dance and body conditioning to children and teens as well as Pilates and Pilates Barre to adults.
