Louise Purvis
DANCER
Originally self- taught for several years at her home in Belfast, Louise’s love for dance and all forms of movement began as a teenager and has only continued to grow. At 15, joining weekly classes at Ajendance Belfast was the catalyst for her career as she was encouraged and supported to pursue her training for the first time. Louise soon moved schools to St. Louise’s Comprehensive College to partake in post-16 dance education and gained a place on the ballet scholarship programme.
In 2020 she moved to London to begin her professional dance training at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, where she expanded her technical training including Horton, Curtis-Jones, Cunningham and Ballet techniques. Recently graduating with a First-Class Honour’s degree, she has worked with various movement artists such as Richard Alston, Alison Curtis-Jones and Amarnah Ufuoma Cleopatra Osajivbe-Amuludun.
Louise is very high-energy and enjoys a variety of sports. She is keen to further her career as a dancer and strength & conditioning specialist. She aims to make quality dance training more inclusive and accessible to a wider range of people.
