Chiara Moore

DANCER

Chiara began her journey as a figure skater, competing nationally and internationally as part of the British squad. However, it was the off-skates dance training that really captured her. She joined the Centre for Advanced Training Scheme at The Lowry, where she performed works by Akram Khan Company and Jamaal Burkmar.

From there, Chiara became a member of National Youth Dance Company, working with Russell Maliphant and Alessandra Seutin, performing at Sadler’s Wells main stage and other venues nationwide. She continued her training at Rambert School, graduating with a BA (Hons) in the summer of this year. During her time at Rambert, Chiara performed pieces by Russell Maliphant, Arthur Pita and Robbie Ordona, and performed at the Royal Opera House Linbury Theatre, Festival Jeunes Ballet in Geneva and Sadler’s Wells Lilian Baylis Studio.

In her own creative practice, Chiara has a passion for choreography. This year, she explored her choreographic voice as part of Alleyne Dance’s Young Choreographers Programme, and has showcased her work at Rambert Platforms, Sadler’s Wells Lilian Baylis Studio, Oxford’s Old Fire Station Theatre and has recently been working on a film project of her latest choreography.

Outside the studio, Chiara loves collecting vinyls, baking (especially coffee cake) and indulging her inner cinema geek as a bit of a Letterboxd addict.
