Charlotte Watson
DANCER
Born in Ipswich but raised in rural Suffolk, Charlotte began her training from a young age at her local dance school, training in ballet and tap. At age 12, she joined the DanceEast CAT scheme and started her professional training at Northern School of Contemporary Dance. She graduated in 2025 with a First-Class Honours.
During her studies, Charlotte has worked with Jasmin Vardimon Company, Fabio Liberti and Gary Clarke Company. Earlier this year, she toured around the North of England with “POPODYSSEY”, created and directed by Dr Joseph Mericer. In 2022, she performed a restaging of Hofesh Shechter’s “Political Mother” at the National Theatre River Stage, London. She also performed at SPILL, Ipswich and Latitude festivals.
Charlotte created her piece “Separated by Time” as part of the Young Creatives Programme in 2024. Under the mentorship of John-William Watson, her creation premiered at the Paul McCartney Auditorium as part of the U-Dance Festival.
Outside of dance training, Charlotte enjoys baking and playing the drums. In her own time, she likes swimming and meeting new people.
