André Chandler
DANCER
André was born and raised in Birmingham. At a young age, André longed to perform. He started acting, singing, and dancing at college and later progressed onto his studies at the University of Salford where he worked with practitioners such as Josh Hawkins, Dom Coffey, Ruth Jones, Tangled Dance Company and Matrafisc.
André also studied abroad at Wayne State University as part of a study exchange programme in the United States where he continued to hone his craft in contemporary dance and explore new styles such as flamenco and African diaspora.
Specialising in contemporary dance exploring themes of improvisation, self-expression, and sensuality he strives to go above and beyond working in the studio and has developed his practice in combining contemporary dance with wrestling which he trained professionally at Futureshock Wrestling.
André loves to perform, and his most recent highlights include performing in the Manchester Pride parade and freelance work with Morph Movement.
In the future André aspires to perform on cruise ships and continue his journey as a portfolio artist.
