Ella Ronte
DANCER
Ella was born in Clapham, London and started dancing at the age of 3 in her local dance school, Fancy Footwork. Baby ballet progressed into RAD and ISTD grades that were completed through weekly classes. She then joined Central School of Ballet’s Associates Program and secured a principal role in London Children’s Ballet’s 2019 production of “Ballet Shoes”. This is where she fell in love with the idea of dancing professionally. At age 14, Ella started training vocationally at Tring Park School for the Performing Arts, expanding her exposure to new dance styles from commercial to different contemporary techniques. A lot was learnt despite dancing around bookcases and sofas during the 2020 lockdown!
At age 16 Ella’s full-time training began at Central School of Ballet in London where, in her first year, she studied Graham technique, improvisation and choreography alongside her classical ballet. Slowly but surely, as her experience grew, the movements and artistry of contemporary dance eclipsed ballet in enabling Ella to express her passion and joy for dance.
In her second year she was selected to choreograph and showcase a contemporary dance piece on her peers. In her final year she toured with the Ballet Central company, taking a featured role in “Night Flight” by Caroline Bolton and working with Jules Cunningham on a newly commissioned piece. She also tackled dancing on the stony bank of the River Thames for a recording of Daniel Davidson’s “I Think We Are on Different Planets” which was shown on CNN news as part of Climate Action Week 2024.
Away from dancing Ella enjoys theatre-trips, baking and board-games.
