Faye Jones

DANCER

Growing up in the Manchester dance scene, Faye began her journey studying ballet, tap modern and jazz. The Lowry CAT scheme allowed for her to be exposed to multiple different styles of contemporary dance and gave space for her creative practice. With the guidance of facilitators such as Josh Hawkins, Josh Wild and the members of Company Chameleon, Faye began a foundation degree at Northern School of Contemporary Dance, where Faye developed their love for combining film with dance finding inspiration in filmmakers such as Luca Guadagnino, Ari Aster and Sam Raimi.

After this year Faye joined London Contemporary Dance School where their love for film flourished alongside working with choreographers such as James Cousins and Holly Blakey. Faye is keenly interested in pushing the boundaries between live performance and cinema through the genres of horror and science fiction, utilising the large range of dance styles they have encountered throughout their dance journey to create creatures and beings not of this world.
