You will need to submit an application to the University of Salford first and the audition and interview processes will follow. At the point of application, you should provide a 400 word statement outlining your motivation for studying on this postgraduate course: why is this course the right choice for you now as you progress your career as a dancer?

The application process will involve two practical auditions and an interviews. The first audition will consider all applicants, a final recall audition will establish the final cohort for Emergence 2019 and the MA Dance Performance and Professional Practice.
Applicants to this programme should have a good degree (2:1 or above) in a dance-related subject. We are also open to applications from students who may not have formal/traditional entry criteria but who have relevant experience or the ability to pursue the course successfully. This is done through a process called the Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL) and more information can be given by the University of Salford Admissions team.
Applicants who are not native English speakers must possess a current qualification as evidence of proficiency in the English Language. This qualification must equate to a minimum average score of 6 or above (and for each component 5.5 or above) from the Cambridge/British Council English Language Testing Service (IELTS) or alternative examinations as recognised by the University.
EEA applicants based in the UK may be able to take a test at the University.

Students who require a Tier 4 Visa must study full-time on either the Masters degree or the Postgraduate Diploma and complete their programmes within 4 trimesters (16 months). Part-time study is not possible.
