Rebecca grew up in Suffolk, dancing at local schools in the area. At 16, she joined the DanceEast Centre for Advanced Training Scheme and became a member of English National Ballet Youth Company, before gaining a First-Class Honours degree at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance.
Here she had the pleasure of working with choreographers Theo TJ Lowe, Hubert Essakow and Zoi Dimitriou. In her second year she performed Alison Curtis-Jones’ reimagined ‘Drumstick’ from Rudolf Laban’s ‘Dancing Drumstick’ (1913) and has subsequently danced this in Switzerland and at The Place, London.
Recent performances include Goldsmiths MFA degree show and a lecture demonstration by Valerie Preston-Dunlop at Blackheath Halls. Rebecca maintains interests in screendance, theatre and travelling. She has had her own choreography presented in the BA3 degree show at Laban and at Siobhan Davies Dance.
