Lucy is from the Rhondda in South Wales and began vocational training with National Youth Dance Wales. As part of the company, Lucy was fortunate to work with Errol White, Theo Clinkard, Eleesha Drennan and Kerry Nicholls to create work which toured around Wales. ‘aM’ by Kerry Nicholls was also featured as part of Apex Rising at Sadler’s Wells.
Lucy trained at Rubicon Dance in Cardiff under the direction of Paul Davies and was also a member of National Dance Company Wales Associates before moving to Leeds to study at Northern School of Contemporary Dance.
During this time, Lucy developed a passion for screendance and has been exploring the use of editing as a choreographic tool. One of her films, ‘no/thing’, was screened as part of Light Night 2017 in Leeds.

At NSCD, Lucy was involved on and off stage – performing works by Jamaal Burkmar, Avatara Ayuso and Tamsin Fitzgerald, as well as being in numerous student works. She also worked as one of the Riley Theatre’s technicians and stage managers for internal and external shows.
Lucy has recently worked with Ransack Dance Company on their R&D for their new show ‘Murmur’.
