Julie Charalambidou is a 21 years old Mediterranean dancer from Nicosia, Cyprus. She trained at the Scottish School of Contemporary Dance for three years, where she was a member of their small college company, Flyzone, representing the School by taking part in different performances all over Scotland.
During her years in training in Cyprus she was a member of the local company, Nicosia Youth Ballet for three years.
Julie was part of Horizons (YDance), a Glasgow based integrated youth company for dancers aged 13 to 19, with and without disabilities. With the company she got to perform in Berlin (Germany) and Granada (Spain), as well as different venues in Scotland.
She has worked with Steven Martin, Theo Clinkard, Thomas Small, Alan Greig and Rob Heaslip. She has also had the opportunity to travel to Trento (Italy), and work with a local professional dance company called Artetanza and create a piece about migrants.
Outside dancing, in her free time, she loves watching Game of Thrones and make Cypriot food.
