Lauren was born just outside Belfast in Northern Ireland and began dancing at a local dance school in Newtownards at the age of 5 focusing on RAD ballet, ISTD tap and jazz, this is where she first found her love of movement and her creativity blossomed. By age 9 she had decided that she wanted to dance and perform as a career. At age 12 she gained a place at Highpoints Youth Ballet Company focusing on Vagonava technique and contemporary dance, performing various roles in ballets such as “Sleeping beauty” and the annual “Nutcracker” productions.

In 2022 Lauren successfully auditioned for the Northern Ballet School in Manchester and began her vocational training. She focused on styles such as ballet, contemporary and jazz while also training in tap and musical theatre. In her second year she chose the classical pathway to focus on ballet and contemporary and grew her passion and love for contemporary dance. She was also involved in performing at the Move It convention in London in March 2024, performing a neoclassical piece with the school. She graduated in 2025 with a level 6 diploma in professional dance.

Lauren also took part in the Belfast International Ballet Festival in the summer of 2024 performing a contemporary solo choreographed by Martyn Garside and “Giselle”, being invited again in the summer of 2025 to perform a contemporary solo choreographed by Emergence alumni Joanna Freeman, a contemporary duet which was choreographed by a Trinity Laban student and also dancing a role in “The Fairy Doll” ballet. She also began taking pole dance lessons in 2023 and performed in various shows for 2 years with Bodybarre Manchester. In 2021 she participated in Rambert School’s summer and autumn courses.

Outside of dance she loves listening to rock and metal music, walking her border collie, sitting in the sun and going out with friends.
