Emma was brought up in New Zealand and played many sports including representing New Zealand in Touch Rugby, still playing rugby now, her team currently won team of the year.
Emma trained in New Zealand at her local dance school and completed Winter Schools with New Zealand School of Dance. She went on to dance for Step Beyond Youth Dance Company, where her choreography was chosen to be performed in Bounce dance Festival and Tempo Dance Festival in New Zealand. She represented New Zealand in the Commonwealth Youth Dance Festival in Glasgow in 2014.
She has received scholarships with Exhale Dance in Cincinnati, Okareka Dance in New Zealand and AIMES awards. Emma left New Zealand at just 17 years old to train at Trinity Laban. Here she danced works by Marina Collard, Lizzi Kew Ross, Hofesh Shechter, Hubert Essakow and Rahel Vonmoos. She performed for Emma Charles in London Fashion Week, 2018 and has completed placements with Beyond Repair Dance and Sydney Dance Company.
Emma holds a passion for film and dance, she likes to create her own choreography and travel whenever she can.
