Aleeza Aslam
DANCER
Aleeza is a contemporary dance artist from Scotland, freshly graduated with a BA (Hons) from the Scottish School of Contemporary Dance. Her movement journey began at just five years old, diving into the world of freestyle dance while also competing in gymnastics — a combination that sparked her love for performance, discipline and dynamic movement.
In her teenage years, Aleeza transitioned into lyrical, jazz and acrobatics training, where something clicked. This is where her artistry began to bloom and where she set her sights on a professional dance career.
Though Aleeza’s dance journey began early, it was during her vocational training at the Scottish School of Contemporary Dance that she truly fell in love with contemporary dance. It was here that the art form came alive for her — a space where movement met emotion, and technique met self-expression. Working alongside renowned industry professionals like Scottish Dance Theatre, Shaper/Caper and the inspiring faculty at SSCD, Aleeza discovered her voice as a dynamic and versatile contemporary dancer. These collaborations pushed her boundaries, challenged her creativity and shaped her into the artist she is today.
Aleeza has spent much of her life immersed in the competitive world of dance and gymnastics, a journey that has taken her across the globe. Her dedication and talent have earned her the incredible honour of representing Scotland multiple times on the international stage, including at prestigious events like the Dance World Cup.
Beyond the studio, Aleeza is all about connection and adventure. Whether she’s spending quality time with her family—especially her sister—getting fiercely competitive over a game of Uno with friends, or exploring new corners of the world, she brings the same energy and passion that she does to every performance.
